How We Work
Techno-Coat functions as an extension of your supply chain — not just a vendor. We handle powder coating, CNC machining, light assembly, kitting, and integrated logistics under one roof, so you have fewer handoffs, tighter lead times, and one point of contact.
Our three powder coating lines are configured for both automatic and manual applications, giving us the flexibility to handle high-volume production runs and low-volume, high-variety orders. We’ve invested heavily in lean manufacturing and technology to keep our processes efficient and our pricing competitive — without cutting corners on quality.

Our History
Techno-Coat was founded in 1983 by Ike Vande Wege and Mike Wiersema out of a 16,000-square-foot building on Lincoln Avenue in Holland, Michigan. What started as a focused powder coating operation has grown — through four decades of deliberate investment and continuous improvement — into a 98,000-square-foot facility with three high-capacity coating lines serving manufacturers across the Midwest.
In 2013, the Vande Wege family became sole owners of Techno-Coat, and Ross Vande Wege assumed the role of President in 2014. That family ownership is still felt today in the way the company operates: long-tenured employees, hands-on leadership, and a genuine commitment to getting your product out the door right and on time.
- 1983 — Founded in a 16,000 sq ft building on Lincoln Avenue, Holland, MI
- 1985 — Expanded facility and added a second paint line
- 1992 — Built 50,000 sq ft facility on 40th Street; added Line 3
- 1996 — Added 39,000 sq ft to the 40th Street facility; added Line 4
- 2013 — Expanded again; Vande Wege family becomes sole owners
- 2014 — Ross Vande Wege becomes President
- 2015 — Upgraded washer and automatic spray equipment on Line 2
- 2016 — Added CNC machining capability
- 2017 — Upgraded ovens on Line 2
- 2020 — Upgraded Line 3 and Line 4 washer systems
